Your child's dental care At the present time, the practice have been awarded a contract from the South Warwickshire PCT to provide dental care for children under the NHS. There is no charge for this service. Non-routine dental treatments such as sports gum shields are not covered under the NHS and a fee for these items can be found in our fees section, Children are born free of dental disease, yet by adulthood 95% of the population has active gum disease and most people have experienced some tooth decay and even tooth loss. It is our belief that disease can be prevented. Our aim is to provide your child with the best dental care available to secure their dental health. We ask parents to register their children from birth so that we can see them twice a year on the NHS to help them grow up free from dental disease. |
Health Teeth For Life
We see children from the age of 6 months and can provide good preventive treatment and advice. Diet control is important at all stages of life but if a good healthy diet is commenced at this age, the need for future treatment may be reduced. Our orthodontic options are always discussed for teenagers as their permanent teeth erupt. Sports injuries are common at this age and we recommend sports guards for all contact games.
Adult patients constantly benefit from the research that is carried out all over the world for prevention of oral diesease, tooth whitening, veneers, crowns and bridges and other aesthetic products. We have four hygienists dedicated to the prevention and treatment of gum disease
Our more complex treatments tend to be centred on those patients who have had considerable treatment when young and wish to improve the function of their teeth. Often a number of dentists may attend a patient to carry out root canal treatment, gum treatments and advanced restorative techniques using crowns and bridges.
We are proud that some of our elderly patients have been with the practice over 30 years. We thrive on this loyalty. Some of our patients require denture replacement whilst others are looking for implants to stabilise the dentition.
We are supported by specialists on referral in all fields and by excellent technicians for all laboratory procedures.
